Our story

Becoming more than average

More than Average is not only a phrase I've come to love but more of a way of life and mindset.
Optimization has become a super hot topic and I’ve spent many years researching and practicing new ways to improve myself personally, professionally, spiritually and physically. There is a host of books, podcasts, medical studies, TV shows, and guru personalities that have been hoping to impart all of this found knowledge to us regular folks; and I’ve spent the better part of 15 years studying , testing, (and sometimes failing) to implement many of the suggestions and findings from all these resources and have found so much success  in many aspects of my life because of this work. There is just one problem that kept nagging at me...I found so much of the information out there just wasn't relatable to my current situation in life, Married, two kids, two careers, and a few hobbies to pursue. Most of the programs, tips, nutrition advisors, fitness coaches, and people writing the books were just not at that stage in life. Hard to relate to the person whose only job is to look good for their Insta page, or who writes fitness programming but has never had to figure out how to fit that in a day of school drop-off/pickup, work, kids practices, spouses schedule etc. I decided to start building programs and coaching plans that made sense for those who were in a similar stage in life.

As you transition from being solely an individual to then becoming part of a team when you become a husband/wife/ partner the rules change. You  now have less time to be “selfish“ and  the bulk of your time is (hopefully) moving  towards common goals with  your partner. Then add kids into the mix and things change...BIG TIME. As the amount of time you have for yourself continues to whittle down, you understand the importance of working together, communicating, sharing goals, and optimizing your day. I’ve now been able to experience first hand what years of having a “Tribe” that knows your goals and aspirations can do for you. It’s truly a 1+1 =3 principal, meaning, utilizing your tribe allows you to accomplish much more than you may be capable of on your own when you learn to effectively leverage it. This allows me to do more in all areas of my life with the goal of getting better everyday.

My mission in starting "More Than Average" is to reframe the conversation about what the modern man is today. I aim to help other dads and partners like me take control back of their fitness, nutrition, mindset and community to be better fathers, husbands, partners, friends, and community members.

Our mission

BE MORE. DO MORE. HAVE MORE.

I started this community to help men find and grow their tribe so together we can learn to be better humans, neighbors, professionals, friends, husbands and fathers.

Our approach is simple, fitness first. Physical, Mental and Spiritual fitness is the foundation to your success in becoming More Than Average.
